NATE GROSS BAND
"You boys are smoking" - Walter Trout!
Combining Blues, Rock & Soul with monster sized guitar licks, The Nate Gross Band has a sound that has been captivating audiences at some of the most respected Festivals and Venues. Nate has shared the stage with legends such as Levon Helm, Mike Zito, Blackberry Smoke, Tommy Castro, Dickey Betts, G.E Smith, Jim Weider, Arlo Guthrie, JD Simo, Commander Cody, Walter Trout, Willie Nelson, Shemika Copeland, and JJ Grey to name a few. When not on the road, Nate owns a private music studio where he is teaching over 50 students a week. As a multi instrumentalist, Nate teaches the importance and love of The Blues and Traditional Music styles.
Over the last 20 years, I have built up a positive name for myself in Central NY and Northeast PA for being a hard working musician and a great performer. From Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, & Syracuse Markets, fans in the blues community have taken notice. This year, in support of our new album "A Ride with The Devil," we are growing into new markets. I have been fortunate to share the stage with some Legendary Artists such as Walter Trout, Mike Zito, Dickey Betts, Tommy Castro, Blackberry Smoke, Levon Helm, Arlo Guthrie and more. Perpetually on the road since I was 14, I have played some great events including The NYS Blues Festival, Brewery Ommegang, The Chenango Blues Festival, Billtown Blues Association and recently, selling out The 443 Listening Room in Syracuse, NY.
In early 2020, I was added to the “Masters of the Telecaster” tour that featured G.E. Smith (SNL frontman, producer), Jim Weider (Bob Dylan, The Band) and Duke Levine (Rosanne Cash, Studio Guitarist) for a few shows in the Northeast. Over the years, my playing has won me multiple awards; from the Louis Armstrong Jazz Foundation, Berklee School of Music to most recently, "Best Blues Recording" by The Syracuse Area Music Awards.
When I'm not performing, I own and run my own Music School in Norwich, NY as well as serving our community as an Arts & Music Advocate. I am highly involved in "The NYS Arts in Education" program, spending my days in public schools teaching kids about the blues, streaming services, music industry opportunities, and just being a positive role model for our next generation. I also sit on The Board of Directors for The Earlville Opera House in Earlville, NY, a community arts center that hosts a broad spectrum of artist opportunities. On top of all that, I also have a private specialized backline service where I help out musicians needing gear when coming through Upstate NY. Drum Kits, Vintage Amps, Keyboards and even Gibson and Fender Guitars are available for my Blues Friends that are flying in for a show. I've been lucky enough to provide gear for such artists as Mike Zito, Tommy Castro, Eric Lindell, Walter Trout & More. All my gear is kept in my full multi track recording studio at my Music School in Norwich, NY.
I hope you're having a great new year and thanks so much for taking the time to listen to my story.
Please reach out if you have any questions about performance or educational bookings.
Thanks so much!
